“Do it Now”- Original

“Do it Now” name came from the feeling i had the night that i took the photographs for this painting. I suddenly had an urge at midnight to get off the sofa and take pictures, “Do it Now “ i said to myself, as i knew i would never take the pictures if i didn’t force myself to do it in that moment. 

Therefore, this painting is not only a still life of a lamp, it also captures a moment in my life and a feeling that i felt so strong, which is the reason for this painting being made.

The way the light bounces off the surface of glass and curves and bends any shadow or object behind it was captivating to me. It was the way in which even without the lamp being a direct light source (turned off) there was still an abundance of light shining on to the glass.
